Fireworks at Pebble Creek Farm: Love that Lights Up the Sky
There’s something magical about fireworks — that instant they explode into the night, lighting up the sky just like love lights up your life. At Pebble Creek Farm, we believe your wedding day deserves that kind of sparkle. And yes, fireworks are allowed here! But like any great love story, there are a few important rules to follow so the night ends in celebration, not sparks flying in the wrong way.
Here’s how we make fireworks happen at the farm — safely, legally, and beautifully.
First Things First: You’ll Need a Pro
Just like you wouldn’t trust just anyone with your heart, you shouldn’t trust just anyone with explosives. All fireworks at Pebble Creek Farm must be handled by a licensed and insured pyrotechnician. Unfortunately, NO guest-run fireworks or DIY backyard-style displays allowed. Let them bring the sparkle without the stress.
Give Us a Heads-Up (and time to Prepare)
We ask that couples let us know at least 45 days in advance if they’re planning to include fireworks in their event. That gives us time to:
Review the fireworks company’s insurance
Coordinate with the county and fire authorities
Prep the property for a safe and smooth show
We’ll share approval once everything checks out. No surprises, except the unforgettable firework finale!
permits and paperwork (the boring but important stuff)
Your fireworks vendor will be responsible for getting all necessary permits from local and state authorities. Ste. Genevieve County can have seasonal restrictions, so it’s essential that everything is in order. We’ll need a copy of the permit at least 10 days before the event.
And speaking of paperwork, the vendor must provide a Certificate of Insurance to Pebble Creek Farm. We are happy to share the details with them!
Let’s talk timing
We want you to enjoy every second of your celebration, but we also want to respect the peaceful countryside setting we call home. Fireworks must be wrapped up by 10:00 PM to keep our neighbors (and their cows) content.
We also recommend keeping the show under 10 minutes — short, sweet, and unforgettable. Go out with a BANG, literally!
designated launch zone
We’ve scoped out a safe, approved launch area on the property that’s far from the buildings, vehicles, and our animal friends. Your fireworks professional will be required to use this designated area, and we’ll attune a walk-through before the big day.
post-show clean up
The fireworks team will be responsible for cleaning up all firework debris after the show. We’ll also walk the area together to make sure everything is safe and tidy. No one wants to find a firework casing in their heals the next morning!
Rain on your parade?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate or a fire advisory is issued, Pebble Creek Farm does reserve the right to cancel the display for safety reasons. Be sure to talk with your fireworks vendor about contingency plans and refund policies, just in case.

Pro Tip: Plan your sparkler send-off earlier in your timeline so you can grab all the photos prior to your photographers exit. There will be more people to spread the love, making the photos even more grand, and then you’ll have no reason to leave the dance floor the rest of the night!
